MY dd1 (6) is in her first dance show (run of 3 nights, quite a big affair)starting next wednesday. However, I have clearly not got the whole gist of the show protocol as it appears that on the last night mum's are expected to present their dancing dd's with a congratulatory gift. TBH, I have spent a small fortune on her costumes/shoes/tights, but don't want her to be the only one without a gift - any ideas for a reaonably priced gift at short notice?! I'm just not cut out for this "luvvie mummy" thing!!

small bunch of flowers? I would have loved this as a grown up present - and still do!

How about getting her a little necklace? if you go to Argos you can pick up nice ones starting about £3.99 upwards.

and whos smart idea was the gift giving?!! as you say you spend a small fortune anyway at these events!

Thanks Panda & Hayes

Could do the necklace & flower thing quite cheaply.

It's probably the same mum's who use specially bought MAC make -up (too heavily I might add) on their 5 year old's coem show time and those whose little prima donna's demand Evian between dance numbers
