Hi there

Sorry but I need some advice. My Best friend is getting married in 6 weeks and I need something to wear, I am currently trying to lose weight but due to PCOS I am finding it very difficult. I am the typical shape for someone with this, i.e very round in the middle and I desperately want to look nice for the wedding,. It also has to be done on a budget am a 16/18, can anyone help??? Thanks

This is going to sound awful but have you tried Oxfam or other charity shops. Lots of people do a spring clean so they are full of only worn once dresses at this time of year (I know because I got a hat there last week). : )

Whatever you wear, a smile will make it look even better.

thanks might give that a go, need to think of a style though dont think oxfam would be too impressed if i started stripping off to try on clothes to see what suits. once i have a style i will do that though. thanks

You can try clothes on in Oxfam

Or M&S has some weddingy type clothes at fairly reasonable prices. Or go to Debenhams personal shopper service and say 'my budget is XXX' they won't bat an eyelid.

Which bits of your body DO you like though? So you can emphasise them.

Is your hair long enough to knit into a frock ?

I had a pair of cream trousers from Wallis and a turqoise top from evans.

That was last year though

Is £60 too expensive? (£100 inc. shoes)

Yeah I could knit my hair. Thanks for that. Better still my MIL is an excellent knitter I could see what she could do with it. Might scare people though as it might be a bit clingy???
