Search doesn't seem to be working so apologies - I know this is asked a lot.

We have just been invited to a christening for our goddaughters sister and need to think of a present. We bought our goddaughter a charm bracelet and add charms to it on special occasions, but don't want to do this as want to keep this special.

Any ideas ?

We gave her a hardback classic book for christmas so don't want to do this again. DH doesn't like Emma Bridgewater pottery which was my idea, don't want it to be something she won't use in the future.

so... Any ideas please ?

A very nice piece of jewellery for when she is older

An antique picture?

My favourite gift my dd2 received last year for christening was a silver heart shaped pendant and chain (this would be in keeping with jewellery you gave her sister). She received a couple of really nice money boxes (probably won't use beyond childhood but that's a long way off) and some beautiful photo frames and an album.

Was just having a look at the Tiffany website.

I like the idea of a picture - We were at a fayre in the summer and they had this stall where they had framed original prints of children's books that had been 'rescued' from books. Thats what we'd really like to get but they only appear at fayres and I can't remember the name of them to look them up.....
