Dh has been given a 20 minute slot to provide live entertainment during the ceilidh band break at his sister's wedding in Feb. He plays guitar and will have access to other musicians (guitars, bass and drums I think). He's stuck though for a couple of appropriate songs - any suggestions?

Faith Hill and Tim Mcgraw do two songs together:
You're my best Friend
Its Your Love.

They are both gorgeous

Did make him listen to that one again (Dance Me To The End of Love - Leonard Cohen); it is fantastic and I thought he could just change all the references from me to she/her as apt. It's more that he's the bride's brother and it seems strange to be singing his current top of the list which is something by the Beatles about being beautiful or my beautiful girl thing. He wants something funky rather than soppy (complete with one eye to the A&R men he seems to think will obvioulsy be attending to sign him to their label )

Maybe he will just have to write something .

Doesn't ring a bell - you may have to bring it over and I'll supply the glasses of wine and tissues .

I'd better not show that to dh.

Feeling very emotional today anyway as someone we know has a dd same age as ours with 1-2 years to live.

What a beautiful poem.
