Dear All

I find the thought of children's birthday parties really quite terrifying. I'm an introvert and a perfectionist which is a bad combination. Besides which my son really dislikes big parties. BUT I need to do something as he is incredibly excited about his birthday. We had a great success last year by taking him and three of his friends round our city on an open top bus and then a little picnic in the park. Does anyone have any suggestions for a party/get together which is not too complex/expensive and which might hit the spot?
Many thanks

Sophie

So much of an introvert that I just included my name. Sigh.
Thanks. Smeraldina!

Dc4 was 6 a few weeks ago and just wanted 1 friend to go to the cinema. We had tea there and I took all 4dc plus friend and he said it was his best birthday!

Last year he chose 4 friends to go bowling. He really doesn't like the big birthday party thing.

Take them swimming. Or on a trip to local farm or zoo.
