best time for party on a sunday

ds birthday party is on a sunday in november- i was going to go for 3 - 5.15pm. is that a bit late for getting sorted for school next day and fact is dark. would you be more likely to say yes if its a bit earlier - best times please? thanks

Would be fine by me. I try to have parties around meal times to save the hassle of giving them dinner when they get home!

thanks gillian - i didn't think of that - it means they are hungry as well and all my hard work will not be wasted.

ds's birthday is in november and although we have had parties at 3-5, I found ones at say 11-1 (or a party where lunch is part of the whole deal) were much nicer. Sometimes (if it is one of those cold, winter days) the sun would come out and it would be quite nice. But even if it wasn't, it meant it wasn't dark when people left.
