I ahve just had an email from the local zoo and they ahve confirmed that they are coming out to do dd birthday. It is basically a little talk with some little animals, big snail, lizards, stick insects lizards, spiders etc and then the kids can meet the animals.

WE are also doing face painting, colouring, mask making, pin the tail on the elephant, jungle themed fancy dress and a jungle themesd treasure hunt

Any other jungle themed ideas are welcome I am off to track down palm trees and wild animals.

Blackpool zoo. Although there are other companies that do similar things.

Dp thinks it is a really teachery party as they will be all sitting, listening and learnign for part of it but dd and I are very excited.

Quite a bargain too £70 plus vat.

To me it sounds like you have enough activities there. You will have to stick with a jungle cake and party bags also.

My Mum is a professional cake decorator so that is her department, I have seen a noah's ark but dd want a leapord.

When the man at the zoo asked her what animals she wanted bringing to her party she said a leapord and an elephant please

Fimbo - Banham Zoo does very good parties. You can feed the penguins. Or seals or meerkats. Ds is going to one in a couple of weeks. They're very popular round my manor.

What a great idea for a birthday party. I hope she has a great day. How old is she going to be?

This isn't a party in the zoo, I can't afford to pay for 30 plus kids to go to the zoo, but their education department are coming to us.

But our zoo does do very good parties and you van also incorporate storytelling, art and craft, games etc.

WE will do it in the future but when dd is more choosy in her friends and therefore invites less people!
