Hi, I´m helping with my sister´s wedding which she´s having in the garden in the summer. we have gathered together a load of old wooden unmatching chairs for the ceremony and was just looking at buying chair covers. There are some very cheap spandex confused ones and some bit more expensive polyester. Anyone tried them, and are they OK or do the spandex look as vile as they sound?

We purchased the spandex chair covers from sculptware for my cousins wedding. This service from this company was wonderful. You can contact them and check if you find your colors.

Have you thought about just having a great big bunch of unmatching wooden chairs? The whole -village fete- thing is massive at the moment. Could make a feature of it!

Not sure whether or not it's easier and cheaper to hire chair covers. Ours were £5 fitted, dressed with a sash, then taken away again at the end of the night. I think you can hire just the covers and sashes for £3 if you're good at bows.
