How can I print invitations on cards I have bought?

I've bought some lovely cards with a design up one side that I want to use as invitations to ds2's Christening. Prontaprint will do it but they want to charge £50 which I would rather not spend, but I think the card is a bit thick to go through my home printer. I only have 24 of the cards so I could hand write them but my writing's a bit rubbish. Any thoughts on how I could do this, and make them look pretty?

Buy some nice paper that will go through your printer, print the wording on that and stick it to the back? Maybe folded like a card... maybe add something like a ribbon bow etc to neaten up the back?

That's an interesting idea, like the idea of a bow or something to finish it neatly.
