I would like to hold one for a friend. At what stage of pregnancy is it appropriate? What are the do's and dont's? Any tips appreciated.

Some friends thre one for me when I was 8mts pregnantand it was wonderful. There are loads of ideas on the net.
I,unusually had mine at my house (usually smeone else hosts_ but I was locked upstairs whilst they decorated the place and got food ready.
They are usualy very girly with fairy cakes, sweets etc etc but have to say mine included a lot of wine and no fairy cakes Grin
I was very lucky and got some super gifts-all pampering stuff for me...

My friends held one for me - they had a cake made with my scan picture on but the best gift (I requested NO presents that cost money) was an album, in which everyone who attended wrote a few words/poem. I was given the finished album the other day and I was in floods of tears with emotion, it was beautiful and will be truly treasured for the rest of my and my ds's life Smile

a friend held one for me when I was about 8m. A very girly sunday afternoon tea party with loads of homemade cakes )she is Austrian and they seem to do cakes very well Grin)
It was lovely Smile
You can do games - I did for my SIL "What's in the nappy?" - different smelling things in a nappy to guess, "Guess the Girth" (of the pg lady obviously Grin)
Have fun
