18th Birthday Party Food

(6 Posts)

I am trying to organise a party for my DD1s 18th next year and am trying to keep the catering costs down. If she were just having a disco then wouldn't be too bad but she wants a ceilidh band at £400 so need to keep the food bill down. The obvious one is catering myself but not sure if I am up to it for 75-100 people. Her birthday is halloween so BBQ etc is out. Did wonder about fish and chip supper (thought local chippy might do discount for that sort of number )but not sure whether logistically they could get them all to us hot at the same time.Any ideas ???

Pizzas?

pizzas good idea. If I don't use venue's caterers then I can't use the kitchen so hot dogs isnt an option really. Thanks anyway

Pizza copes very well with sitting around & getting a bit cold.
Which means it will still be edible when it's needed for soakage & the munchies around midnight.

My in laws went to a wedding recently where the meal was fish and chips served from an ice cream van. Maybe could get similar? Our PTA gets a good discount for bulk deliveries of fish and chips for quiz nights etc.
