After school clubs - what do you expect to pay for?

If you sign your child up for an after school activity (not just at school could be anything) what do you expect to happen if they miss one of the lessons?

For example you sign up for a term and one week your child is ill and can't go and another week they have been invited to a birthday party, would you expect a refund for the classes missed or something else?

Expect to pay anyway- they can't fill the place with anyone else.

No I would expect to pay whether they go or not - they still have to cover staff and running costs and cannot make up the shortfall that week with another child.

Pay anyway, you're paying for the place whether you use it or not.

Would not expect refund if paid in advance. Pay as you go is too risky for most organisations as no guarantee of income.

Excellent, thank you! I was expecting at least one person to say they wouldn't expect to pay smile
