Ryvita (he can eat them dry. Urgh!)
carrotts
other raw veg - cauli, celery, cucember.

Any fruit from bowl.

He'll ask for other stuff from fridge - strawberries, grapes, veg and yoghurts.

Sometimes have hard boiled egg and leftovers there so he has a look.

He will usually try it on and ask for a naughty snack first!!

We have a shelf where there are snacks the girls can reach for themselves. Fruit, rice cakes, dried fruit.

But they do have to ask, not just help themselves all day. DD2 is a similar age and would snack all day if she could. But she's actually happier and better behaved on days when she's busy, forgets to snack, and eats a decent meal!

Olives
Fresh goats cheese
pan de leche (sweet bread) with peanut butter
Fresh fruit (anything....they love it)
Slices of ham/chorizo/salami

Although they love dried fruits, I am trying not to let them have too much at the moment after visiting the dentist the other day and she said that apricots, dates, raisins etc are just as bad as sweets when it comes to their little teeth...!

have you tried giving bigger portions? we give DS apple sauce/ yoghurt after dinner each night, and if he wants, a banana. Before dinner (but not the hour before) he had dried apricots, raisins, rice cakes and bread sticks

Carrots - either whole or sticks
Cucumber - 3-6 inch lengths
Dried fruit
Tomatoes
Cold rice

Report
BiscuitStuffer · 12/05/2009 21:19

olives
cucumber - 1/3rd lengths
carrots
rice cakes
pears quartered lengthways
cherry tomatoes
raspberries
strawberries
grapes
banana
cheese chunks and slices
'chilly peas & corn' (frozen peas / corn)
crackers
bread sticks
fruit pouches (ellas kitchen fruit smoothies)
orange segments

After main meal I offer fresh fruit and then yoghurt after that so there are 3 'courses' and we just keep going until everyone's full. After the yoghurt course, there's toast!
