Avent Bottle Warmer - bought on ebay without instructions - can you tell me how it works?

It's just the basic Avent bottle warmer, with a little silver dial saying 1,2 or 3, with a light next to it. I got it lovely and cheap on ebay but there aren't any instructions!
My main questions are:

  • it says 'fill with water to the required level'. how much water do i put in and do i just pour it in the middle?
  • it has a chart showing which setting to put it on for which sized bottles at which original temperatures (room or fridge) but they're all saying use either 2 or 3, so what's 1 for?
  • i am using it for expressed breast milk with Colief in it - so it needs to be c. body temperature or a bit warmer, not any hotter - is that the temp it warms to? or should i use a lower setting for that?
  • does the light go on/off when it's ready?

Thanks!

Belinda

I have one of these

It needs to be filled with water so that all the EBM in the bottle is submerged (does that make sense)
I always used setting 1 for EBM @ room temp, think the light goes off when the water is at the right temp, but will check with DH when he gets home if you want as he uses it more than me (DS won't take a bottle from me.)

Will see if I have got the instruction book in a sec as am currently feeding

Thank you so much - so does the bottle get wet? as in is it like putting it in a bowl of hot water? and do you just put water in and then keep using the same water? so what's the point of the removable blue bit?
sorry, questions questions!

yep bottle gets wet, Think the point of the blue bit is to be able to warm bigger/smaller bottles?

Avent very helpfully put the instruction manuals on the web Think this is the one you have

We found the removeable blue bit helpful as we had some Tommee Tippee bottles that would only fit if we took the blue bit out. Also removeable so you can place in your own containers of food later on.

Water can remain in there for a few days, then change and remember to de-scale it occasionally (instructions include this)
