Mine is 22 months and thinking about dropping his nap. Having one today though so will probably not want to go to bed tonight

DD is 2.4 and still has about 1.5 hours nap. She has the odd day here and there when she goes without but is a right pain if she does not sleep. I am hoping it will continue for a good year yet . We are going to continue to force encourage her to nap for as long as we can.

Friend of mine dropped his at 2.8 and another one at 3.

Pav!!! How was the Spa thingy???

I think every child is different re naps...ttc no 2 atm and I wonder how different it will be (if get bloody lucky!!) but I guess you don't get the luxury of resting as you still have DC no 1 to look after! Maybe Medised is the answer...

DS1 stopped at 18 mths
DD stopped at 22 mths
DS2 is 3 and still naps for up to 90 minutes most days.

DS1 dropped his usual nap just before he was 2.
But he still used to have one every 3-4 days, but it would be falling asleep infront of cbeebies rather than going up to bed.

ACtually i used to put cbeebies on if i wanted/hoped he'd have one so i could have a rest too. Was pg with ds2.

DD is 2.2 and rarely naps on nursery days now and will have a nap about one day out of four. By the time we pick her up at 5.30 is is pretty grouchy.

She was still having a nap of 1-2 hours at home until last weekend, when she refused to go to sleep and sat in her cot singing songs and shouting at her teddy to go to sleep.

Ds is 2.6 and is in between needing a nap and not.
1 nap is too much and he isn't as sleepy at bedtime. Without a nap he's cranky all afternoon.

DD2 is 19 months and naps about 4 days in 7 . On the plus side, she does sleep very well at night!

DD2 has dropped it this week
Last week it was 2 hours a day - this week ZERO. What a killer.

She is 2.10 BTW. I know I've been lucky that it has lasted this long. But I MISS it!

my oldest carried on napping at the weekends til about 2.5 or so because she was so tired from nursery, and would disappear for nearly the whole afternoon.

DD, now 2.3 has rarely napped in the day apart from when she was very young - she just fought sleep so am very - particularly at those that manage to get a morning and afternoon nap. It's a long day when you don't get a minute to yourself! On the plus side, she sleeps very well at night and has done since around 4 months old iirc.

My son is 2.3 and still enjoying his daytime nap, but yesterday slept till 4ish and I noticed last night he stayed awake for ages after he went down.

Saw HV today for 2 year health check and as I'm due no.2 in 3 months I said I'd like him to continue long as poss! She advised not to let him sleep after 3pm to keep it going. Otherwise night time sleep ets too disturbed. My friends find the girls drop the nap quicker than the boys.

IMO it's good to preserve it long as poss as they are better tempered for it.
