Little bits at a time. Tell her it's fairy magic.

Heres a hug sounds like your having a rough few days x
My DS oes this soetimes when he is sleepy. I have to admit I do force it down him knowing it will make him feel better after. Will she be bribed into it? Try anything to make them and you feel better. Or try things like olbas oil in burner to help her breathe and cold flannels to cool her down?

DS (20mo) can be like this although normally he is OK. I have to say that one of us holds him down while the other gets the syringe in, it's over very quickly and he soon forgets the upset.

When you say night, do you mean up in the night, middle of the night type stuff?

If so, mixing it in with yoghurt might not work but that is often a good way of doing things. Someone also suggested to me that putting it on a normal food spoon and pretending it's a sugary treat can work.

Or you can do as I usually do, DP pins her down, I syringe in and massage her throat so she swallows. Horrible but needs must and all, mainly only do this with anti-biotics or if her temp is high and it's essential medicine as I hate doing it!

bribery doesnt work. tried will you take some if daddy does. cant get spoon anywhere near her windmilling arms. as i said tried forcing but comes back up as gets so upset she is sick. have rubbed berties gel on her chest. at the mo she keeps passing out from exhaustion in DP's arms in our bed but wakes up screaming & writhing & farting every so often. am finding hard to comfort her as have hacking cough so keep waking her & am preg so no medicine for me.

I bribe dd with sweets . She hates antibiotics so gets a sweety with every swallow-could you try that?

when sleepy there is no reasoning with her. this occurs in night but also if dont catch in time at nap or bedtime as prone to sudden crashing when ill. had been ok during day today after 2 days of cold with fever but then bit clingy this afternoon and cough seemed to be back so thought might need some medicine at bedtime. unfortunately she suddenly crashed at teatime so had missed our window.
