So angry with myself for not doing the things I wanted to do before I had a baby

Because now I can't do them and I have no one to blame but myself! I had my baby before I established my career and now I am in a bit of a no man's land work wise. Can't get a part time job, actually can't get any job because I did go for a few full time ones early on before we decided that part time would be better. Also I keep finding CPD opportunities that I would love to do and can't because I have no access to childcare and my husband works shifts so I can't even be off for an evening class each week.

My own fault totally but I feel very frustrated and wanted to vent!

Can you not do a course through open university?

And remember the school days will creep up on you very quickly so enjoy having your DC all to yourself for now. There's plenty of time for working later.

It's practical stuff I want to do so you have to be there. I am going to do some distance learning too for the academic side so that will help but the practical stuff is out of reach for now. It just an unfortunate combination of living so far away from family and my DH working odd hours. I am being pretty selfish really - you can't have everything in life!

Cross posting there - thank you for the link I will certainly check it out! I am trying to be as proactive as possible and have been sending my CV out on spec so hopefully I can pick up the odd opportunity here and there which will be good for confidence and CV building. I am just having one of those moany mornings where I feel like my life consisted of dishes, hovering and sleep deprivation!

I work in drama education so theatre related workshops that sort of thing. Also actually being able to go to the theatre here and there would be nice too! You are right though - this time will pass. Sometimes I get a touch of cabin fever if you know what I mean!
