finding children exhausting

I have two children who are 2 and 6 years old and work part time.
My husband is away a lot on business and even when in the country not back from work till really late.
Sometimes especially in the evening I find everything so hard and Loose my temper with the older one.
My husband is quite particular with the house so am under a lot of pressure to keep the house nice as well.
I feel sometimes I would be better off As a single parent as he would have to take the kids away from me occasionally.
Any suggestions

Baby sitter. Granny. You are not better off as a single parent. I'm poor!

Tell him to help or pay for a cleaner. Seriously.
You are also being completely normal needing some space - the relentlessness of childcare is astonishing. Can you do swaps with any friends i.e. you take their kids for an hour and then they take yours etc?
