Hi Makingdo,

You've just kindly replied to my thread, now I can help you feel better on yours!

I did the same last year to my DD; I slammed the door on her fingers when I was trying to escape from her into the garden; as I was on the phone to a client.

I was a REALLY bad mother because I heard her scream and cry, sort of knew I had shut the door on her fingers, but carried on the call regardless. What a cow I am. I've never got over it; even my laid back DH told me off.

You indident was a complete accident so please don't be hard on yourself. Little hands get stuck everywhere. At least you dealt with her immediately!
xx

You've done well to get to go that long without inadvertantly causing pain!

She may well be loving the attention too, which is encouraging her to go for the sympathy vote! I'd move on if I were you.

PS: I accidentally cut my DD's toe when I was clipping her toe nails when she was much younger. I told her about it and now every time she has her nails clipped I get 'mum, when I was a baby you cut the top off my toe by accident didn't you?' I shouldn't have ever mentioned it to her. See I told you I was a bad mother; there's so much evidence.
