Anyone living in the Watford area?

Hi everyone, is there anyone living in the Watford area? I live in Central London but am planing to move to another are with more affordable houses to rent. My husband loves this area but I know nothing about it. Any tips would be welcome on good nurseries and infant school and anything about the area in general. Thank you in advance

Well, I live near Watford (in Bushey), but DD is only 10 weeks, so no idea about schools etc, sorry. I have been living here for about 2 years though and I like it, and it is definately more affordable than London. If you/husband will be commuting and you want to save money (rather than time) then I would suggest living in Bushey/Bushey Heath and commuting by tube from Stanmore (zone 5), as I found it to be much cheaper, and not too bad time-wise (about 50 mins to Piccadilly Circus, inc time on the bus to get there). But let me know if there is anything else (not about schools etc) you would like to know about.
