Ds is 2.2, and has quite long hair, it has curls at the back that are slightly longer than shoulder level (obv looks longer when wet) and the rest of his hair is straight. I keep the fringe tidy myself but I dont know if I should get it cut 'properly' now.

I love his curls and I know Id cry seeing him have all his beautiful hair cut off, what makes me question things is the fact that on a couple of occasions people have thought he was a girl - I know thats not exactly a bad thing lol but it makes me wonder if his hair is 'too long'. I dont think he'd have anymore curls if I trimmed his hair - theyre like his baby curls, iyswim. I dont know what to do with his fringe either, I keep it out of his eyes but dont want him to have a 'heavy' fringe.

Ive looked on google for ideas but havent found anything I like, and Im not sure I want to cut it anyway! I know Im being completely irrational but I'll blame that on the preg hormones...

So what did you all do? Id obv keep the curls if he had them cut off but can I get away with this for a bit longer?

Just tell me to stop being daft

There's a lad in Reception at DD1's school that has shoulder length hair. It's kind of a skater style and for some reason looks really cool. So you don't HAVE to cut it off just yet!

Maybe go to a hairdresser and ask them to help thin out the fringe but not lose the curls?
