We are MOVING - how to explain to toddler?

We are moving from London to NY ... any suggestions on how to help our 2.5 year old deal with this? She will be leaving behind her Nanny and her best friend who she absolutely adores.
I have no idea how to explain this to her or how to help her to say goodbye (will she even understand the enormity of this?)
And once we have moved, when she is missing her friends and asking to see them, I'm not sure how to help her understand that she cannot and avoid the inevitable tantrums of anger and disappointment.
I'm feeling very worried and sad for her. Advice/words of wisdom please?

books that have similar stories?

I don't think a toddler will comprehend it at all - just make it super-exciting I guess...

How exciting for you!! Hope it all goes smoothly
