Am I finding it easier this time because I am older or because Callum is my 4th??

I can't believe how easy it is with Callum! I had DS1 at 19, DD1 at 21, and DD2 at 22, and I found it hard, i'll admit that i had PND after Ds1 and Dd1, which made it harder. But was discussing it all last night with DH and I don't know if I am finding it easy with Callum because I am older or just because he is my 4th?

i think the more you have the less you stress yourself out. you know the drill and dont panic at minor things. you learn what is important and what can give. you learn to enjoy and thats what being a mum is all about!!

Probably both.

I was 19 when I had Dd1 and 21 when I had Dd2. I coped but can't say I enjoyed it much really.

I then had Ds at 24 and found it a doddle tbh. I was a hell of a lot more confident at being a mum, and after having dd2 who was a nightmare baby, I knew how awful it could be and so wasn't so scared of it iykwim.

He was an angel though, which obviously made it easier.

Probably a bit of both plus it might be that this baby is a little easier than the others.
I know I had a terrible time with my first, thought I'd cracked it with the second (experienced mum now, thought I) and then number 3 came along and shattered my illusions. What hard work she was.
I do think that you get more relaxed and accustomed to babies the more you have, though. So I would think that is the biggest factor.
