Letting go of the baby stage........

After much deliberation we have decided to not have any more children, I have posted on here a couple of times re the decision. Its been so hard to make it.

Youngest is almost 2 and I am feeling so sad to be letting go of the baby stage.

I see birth announcements on here and I feel envious( terrible I know!) and when I am out and about I am looking at all the new born babies.

I think that I am coming around because it is easing a bit for me and I am starting to somewhat accept that there has to be an ending point.

Just wanted to ask are the other mums out there who went through theese feelings during this transition and does one eventually move on.

Yes of course you will...I am not sure why you came to your decision but I will say that I came to the same decision as you when I was with exh...basically because I did not want to have any more with him. We split up, I met a new partner and I now have a ten month old dd!!

I think sometimes you can never say never....sorry if this is inappropriate (as I say I don't know your reasons for deciding on this)

Joedar I feel exactly the same. Ds2 is still in nappies and a cot and highchair and he is 2.5. I am definitely clinging on to babyhood.

Ha Ha just as long as he still not wearing nappies when he is 18, he won't be scarred for life!!

Well we have 4 daughters already 11,9,3 and 2 and are about to move to France so lots happening.

We can afford another and would have both liked another, but feel there is so much that comes with it mainly not having the time and energy to give to all kids individually and time for ourselves at the moment is non existent.

We don't want to be martys either!! But both love kids.

But when I am in tesco and my oldest daughters pointing out the little baby gros I am weak with longing!!!

Might get myself a baby doll!!
