Bye bye moses basket...so emotional!

Am I just an emotional wreck since childbirth or am I really just crazy!?

LO has been in his moses basket next to my bed since birth (July) and DH has informed me that he is too big for it now and should go into his own room....i can see he's too big for it (head is at the top and feet are at the bottom) but I just can't admit it! I was nasty to DH this morning over it and now feel like a complete cow!

Anyone got any words of advice? I feel scared to put him in his own room, even though its right next door and we have a monitor!

Aw, I remember it being a huge step for me. DD1 was 6 months when we put her in her own room and we were lucky to fit a cot in our room for dd2 and so she was 8 mths before she moved. They did sleep better in their own rooms but I did miss them . It is one of the first big steps. They are growing and you can't stop them. I hated it. Wanted my babies back. DD1 starts school in Jan and she is so excited so luckily I feel happy about it all but know I will still shed a tear on the day. It is another stage over and done and a new one starting.

Unfortunately the room is too small for me to sleep in there. No doubt I will spend half the night standing over him anyway!

Vanilla, I cant even think that far ahead but I know it must be real hard to wave them off to school. I hope your DD enjoys it and that its not too hard for you.

Thanks. She will love it and I will be just fine, as will you when your baby moves
