GULP! First day alone with BOTH kids...

DH went back to work after paternity leave today. I am home alone with DS1 (16mths) and DS2 (2wks)

We're all still alive, and we're fed and dressed...well, DS1 has PJ's on, but he's wearing clothes so i'm counting that as dressed for today.

It's actually not been too bad - so far. Although i burned my toast and DS1 whacked DS2 with a plastic seahorse earlier.

Anyone else home with 2 wee ones?

Oh yes.... but DS is at nursery today (2.8) and DD is finally asleep (12 weeks)

Yours are v little! Congrats by the way!

Take a deep breath, count to 100. You are soooo right not be stressed about DS1 being dressed, it is not improtant. Find lots of things that can occupy him while you feed DS2 - and if whoesome activities are too much to cope with. I always find cbeebies works!!

He'll survive. DS brings me boks to read while I feed DD sometimes, which is ok as he's older, and turns the pages - you will soon find you can juggle all manner of things while feeding!!

if i'm totally honest, the top i'm wearing is the vest i wore to bed

DS2 sleeping in hallway now, while fog-horn DS1 is sprawled over my lap drinking milk.

i am totally winging it, and waiting for something to go tits up.

congrats btw. And good luck (I'm with you on this -- but can't type more until DD (18m) and DS 6w give me a break). Getting dressed is over-rated anyway.

I'm at home with ds1 2y7m and ds2 4 weeks.
I've found the last couple of weeks after dh went back to work a real struggle.
Its not so much the ds's but the sleepless nights.
I'm also unable to go out really as I had an emergency c-section and can't drive yet.
I am quite fed up really and feel so guilty for the amount of tv/dvd's that ds1 usually watches which is easily about 4-5hrs a day.
I'm keeping things going and together which is the main thing, I guess.
Roll on week 6 when I can drive and get myself and the kids out!

My wee girl (3) loves having a jammie day lol.

Sounds like you are doing just fine. I felt overwhelmed when dp went back to work but you will find your own routine and it will get easier.

It was venturing out of the door with two instead of one that was the big worry for me but you will soon get used to it.

Congratulations on your new baby
