I think Boots sell Totes in baby sizes (actually more 'girl' than 'boy' too which would suit you)

Gap and Next do these.

Actually, jura's reminded me that Primark baby socks are the same.

We have wooden floors at home and found that Daisy Roots seemed to work (but laminate may be slippier than wood?)

Daisy Roots are litle leather slippers/shoes that actually stay on their feet!

These moccasins are excellent - stay on like a cozy sock but with a non-slip leather sole. My twins have them and they have been brilliant learning to walk on our wooden floors. Our pairs have been through the washing machine several times and still going strong - would really recommend.

Bobux leather shoes - we have a tiled floor and ds was great in them. Advantage over rubberised socks (which ds couldn't wear as allergic to latex) is that they can't get turned over so all the rubber is uselessly on top. And you only need one pair.
