Bog standard vaseline is pretty good and that lansinoh stuff you put on cracked nipples is great! Health food shops do aloe vera gel which is good as not sticky. Poor little mouse. It'll go v soon.

Ah bless her. I remember this happened to my dd, I hadn't been cleaning under her many chins thoroughly enough and she had a line of dried milk under one of them. When I did clean it it was awful. She screamed and screamed and I felt such a bad mother. Sudocream did it for me - if you can't get your finger right in the creases, use a cotton bud.

we had this, just cleaned carefully (plain water) and made sure we got plenty of air to the area, didn't need to put anything on it (wary of putting anything onto inflamed skin). once the skin was clean and dry it healed really quickly and the soreness didn't come back. it does look really distressing tho and makes you feel horribly neglectful
