would you bath your 1mo in the same water your 18mo has just used?

Potentially a silly question I know, but I'd like to start my ds on the same routine I use for my dd. I can't bath him before dd, or at the same time just yet, but I don't want to waste water by pouring two seperate baths.

So do you reckon it would be ok to use the same water for both of them, or would it be too dirty for a baby once dd has finished with it?

why not dunk him in at the same time, just briefly? and get him dressed on bathroom floor?

I always used the same water with mine, and when they got a bit older, I put them in together.

I do, and have - the baby has a quick swirl around just after the girls have finished , or if I'm supermum, before they even get in.

is your baby's skin at all sensitive? i wouldn't have done it with my dd as she had very very dry skin and eczema sometimes. however now it's all gone i'd say fine. but use fresh water for his face and eyes.

dd has mild eczema, so no soap products in the water, except for shampoo once a week.

I don't really want to put ds in at the same time as it's dd's one on one time with either myself or dh, and her time to wind down before bed - the last thing she needs is a wailing baby in her face.

Thanks for the responses - first attempt is tonight! Still getting used to juggling both when dh isn't around to help out.
