Ergo baby carrier - we have the older style one.

Fantastic front or back carrier. Used it up to DS1 being a heavy 22m old, and me being 22w pg.

Downside - not that easy to get on by yourself. Can learn with practise though.

Not to call you a liar just to say that everyone has different perceptions because I think the Ergo is sooo easy to get on one of the easiest I have. I have the old style too have used it for dd and now ds.

I love Mei Tai's easy to use, and because they tie are so adjustable, I would love a wrap but never tried on yet.

Just got an Ergo after hearing good things, not really had chance to use it much yet, but feels very comfy, especially worn on the back. Am still getting to grips with getting it on and off, needs practise I think. Had a Baby Bjorn (I think active - with extra back support) but DS as a chunky lively 20lb 8 mo is just too heavy to carry this way.

different slings for different things i'm afraid, no single winner. in general i prefer anything that ties over anything with buckles, although the ergo came into its own when dd was between about 2.5 and 3.5, and heavier than average. the thing about a tie carrier is you have to adjust it exactly to you every time, so you get a better fit and a more comfortable carry.

also different things suit different people - lifestyle, build, etc and a small design difference e.g. between different brands of mei tai or different styles of shoulder on a ring sling can make a huge difference in comfort. no substitute for trying them out i reckon.

all that said i'm interested in seeing how mei tais work as from-birth carriers with next baby - didn't get a kozy till dd was 18mo+ - if i can get them to work for a littly then they'd prolly come out tops for versatility, fit and ease of use combined.

btw if you want an overwhelming amount of info on different carriers (choose reviews at the top) plus a highly dangerous sale/trade board try the babywearer
