Teddy for the weekend!

queenc81 · 23/09/2016 17:07

My son came bounding out of school today, absolutely over the moon that he had earned this bloody thing for the weekend.

Looking through the book people have taken teddy to parties, made cakes, gone go karting and the beach. These are just some of the things.

My problem is this weekend is my only free weekend where we have nothing on, I'm 32 weeks pregnant and just wanted to sit on my arse with movies and eat crap, I know it won't go down well with the parenting brigade when the pictures show that though, so what easy fun activities can I do with this stuffed bastard that won't make me look like a shit mum Grin

Ps I did thing about lying but we have to include photos and I'm rubbish and photoshop Hmm

I'm sorry, but you have made my morning.

this stuffed bastard

I love it.

Could Teddy have a 'spa' weekend? you know, stick some cucumbers on its eyes, wrap a flannel round its head like a towel and bung him on a cushion in the bathroom?

Do you have pets? You could sit him on a dog in the garden and it could have gone for a jungle adventure.

Is that the sort of thing you are after? Sorry, I don't have kids!

Picnic in the garden with the other toys?

When we had a teddy we made every day stuff look exciting.

Went shopping stuck teddy on conveyer belt amongst the shopping.

Took a picture in the garden playing.

Picture snuggled in bed with DC

Picture of teddy choosing what to watch on tv

Think I took one of teddy being naughty ( can't rennet what now).

Some snappy captions under the pictures. Done

I've just worked out how pregnant 32 weeks is. Fucking hell. They can't expect you to do more than your awesome sounding plans. Put Teddy in front of a bucket and say it had a hangover all weekend!

Think I stuck him in the tree. And put oh no naughty teddy stuck in tree and a picture of DD on ladder supported getting him down.

When we had the nursery monkey for the weekend she had a "liaison" with our panda. Any resulting offspring should be due around now. (These pictures did not go in "the book")

Teddy for the weekend!

Teddy driving the car (at a jaunty angle completely stationary on the drive).

Teddy learning to cook (pic of the stuffed bastard shoving a pizza in the oven).

Teddy making a den (under a blanket with a cushion on the sofa).

Done. With sweet FA effort.

Iagree Did they produce a punkey? Or a manda? Grin

The nursery teddy spent some time in the corner facing the wall in time out at dd's insistence (in between tea parties and a trip to the local pet shop!)

LOL-img at 'stuffed bastard' )

DD1 was going to have the nursery toy but didn't want it as she has her pet stuffed dog - thank fuck too, I have no idea what's supposed to be photographed but I only had DD12 weeks before so couldn't be arsed to go on a massive trip.:

I've NC'd for this...

DC came out of an after-school activity recently delightedly clutching the club mascot. I wasn't impressed AT ALL. Until I got home and read the accompanying book. Well, it was brilliant. The one-upmanship was superb.

One child pictured the toy on their pony, there was references to the tennis club, how the toy loved staying in one childs 'big, big, big' house and in the Range Rover dealership. There were more but it escapes me.

The first thing it did in our house was go in the washing machine as it was filthy and bloody stunk.

DD2 (12 weeks before) - I don't have 12 DDs! If I did I'd definitely not bother with teddy!

A few years ago, we had class bear. We put in the basket on DD's bike, sat in the garden wearing shades with earphones on , put it on the swing, fed it some pizza. It also played Monopoly. All easy stuff we could do at home.

I read a genius suggestion on here that "Teddy had come down a little poorly" so various photos of him tucked up in bed with a thermometer, a sick bucket, etc.

We're definitely doing that if we get the hairy fucker home again.

Just give your DC a camera and let them set up scenes and take photos themselves while you lounge on the sofa.

My DC absolutely love doing this, and quite often the photos are hilarious (not always intentionally). And they have always been congratulated by the teacher because it is clear that DC did it all themselves.

Teddy here went swimming. In the washing machine. It was photoed. Spa day (including a wash in the machine) would be high on my list if we ever go back to the horrible days of class bears. Not seen one at this school.

Maybe a preparation for new baby week end?? Try some baby clothes on it! In the cot pic, pram, dummy in, etc!

Thanks for all your suggestions, the stuffed bastard has been changed into his pjs (yes we even have to change him!!) and is in baby's Moses basket.

I'm sure the new teacher hates me! She gave it to the rich pta parents before me so I've got to look at the smug photos of farmers markets and everything.

Think packing the hospital bag is a good idea, will stick him on a breast pump too, give the parents after me a nice shock Grinl

Oh and we do have a dog, but he's already tried to eat him, however much I'd love to send the bear back in a sandwich bag of just stuffing I'm sure I'll get into trouble Grin
