My twin daughters start primary school next week, and I can't help but feel deep sadness towards it. They are more than ready for it which is brilliant, I would feel worse if they were upset.
I have been at home with them for the last 4.5 years, and I can't get my head round the big change it will be for us all. No more doing what we fancy when we want, I will miss them so much! I am also starting a business, so am nervous about getting back into work. I wish I didn't feel so sad, I keep getting really upset. I don't let the girls know how I feel, they think I am so excited! They were our miracle ivf girls, and now they are off into the world without me!!! Does anyone else feel like this? sad

Aw, I felt sad too when my eldest started last year. Somehow I can imagine it must be even harder with 2 at once.

It's been great for him through and he loves school. Plus you do get 13 weeks of school holidays when you can go back to doing whatever you want with them again.

I have still had my youngest at home, and been v busy at work, so I'm sure with starting a new business you'll find you won't have too much time to dwell.

Hope they have a great first day. You won be the only parent shedding a tear.

Thankyou Lapinlapin, I think a lot of it is because they are both going together. I am hoping I get all the upset out my system and I surprise myself on the morning.

Thankyou to Drink! I bet this time next year I will be thinking the same about them going back.
