So I had started a whiney post about not being prepared for dd2's first day at school tomorrow and how the house was a mess and how I felt a bit of a failure and how dh was not giving a monkeys. But then I thought I about what kind of response mumsnetters would give me and, yes, there would be some sympathy but also a big if a kick up the arse.
So I got said arse up, tidied shit away, cleaned my bathroom, put fresh sheets on my bed and ironed nay starched fresh pleats in the handmedown pinafore.
I feel so much less stressed now. Tidy house tdy mind and all that. DH is still snoring in front of the tv but I least i'be got the whole bed to myself and fresh sheets. Hmm, line dried.
So thanks for your assumed advice!
