Has anyone got any tips to discourage/stop a toddler from picking his nose and eating it? DS (2.8) is incessantly rummaging around in there and then sticking his fingers in his gob. Apart from general hygiene concerns (his hands tend to be fairly dirty if he's playing in the garden/park), it makes me want to heave and I have to really bite my tongue to not shout "Stop that, it's disgusting!!!". We try not to react and just take his hand away saying "we don't eat our nose" while giving a tissue or if he is in genuine discomfort offering to "help get the snots out" but I think it is becoming a fidgety habit and would love to know if anyone has had any success in getting their toddler to stop?
