So 10.5m LO was playing in the living room I was in the kitchen washing up & felt he was quiet for too long so called him, he didn't come. So I went to check on him & he came crawling to the door (while whining because he knew he's going to get told off) he had climbed onto my ottoman & pulled down the oil diffuser & was playing with the sticks! Could he have swalled some? I don't think he was with them for long. I smelt his hands & mouth but couldn't smell anything. What should I do?? It was literally 20mins ago he's behaving fine he's tired so having his milk & will go sleep for about 40mins-1hr. What should I look out for? Sorry I'm in such a panic!! First time mum!

If he's acting normally and showing no signs of having eaten any of it, I'd probably assume he hadn't and do nothing. Maybe keep an extra eye on him while he naps though - most likely he'd be sick if he had eaten it.

Think he will be fine! If bed eaten it you would def smell it and it prob tastes rank too.

If he had got it in his mouth it won't have been there for long, its very sharp tasting believe me I know

At the worst, the oil will go straight through and cause an upset tummy, but I'm sure he'll be fine.

You'd smell it right away, stop worrying. It tastes foul, he wouldn't have drank much even if he did taste it. I stopped using a plug-in in the hallway as I'd catch my daughter with it any chance she got

This is the type. Not plug in. So he's pretty much had diarreah but he's been his normal self apart from that. Although that bottle was full it was loads on the floor & 1 of his teddies caught most of it (so that went in the bin)

You could try washing the teddy (on its own apart from a couple towels) to see if the oil will come out before binning it
