2 weeks old baby fussing, pulling off breast?

My son is 2 weeks old and he's recently started to fuss at the breast, coming on off on off and crying a lot. I've winded him to make sure it's not wind. What could be the reason? Anyone else's baby done this? He's latched on proper and has been having dirty and wet nappies and has put weight on since birth. I've noticed He does get hiccups a lot. Should I be worried?

It could be that your milk is coming out a little bit too fast for him. You could try hand expressing just a little bit of milk off from your breast before feeding to see if that helps. I have the same issue with my DS if he hasn't fed for a while - it's as if there's just too much milk for him to swallow so I express a little bit off into a muslin and then he seems much happier to feed.

Do you have quite a forceful letdown? Eg milk starts squirting all over the place. If so as above might be best to express a bit so he can drink comfortably.

Could be silent reflux?

When mine did this, it turned out to be a nasty case of oral thrush, and he never was okay with being at the breast afterward.
