Is this a varied enough diet for 10 month old?

I feel I'm giving her the same stuff, obviously just alternated over and over. Breakfasts are fine but I think I need some ideas for lunch and tea. Things I give her currently for either lunch or tea are:

Bolognese
Popeye pasta (spinach and cheese)
Tomato pasta with cheese
Chicken couscous and veg
Chicken curry
Tuna bake
Sandwiches with cheese or humous
Chicken casserole
Beef stew

It's not a lot is it? I've checked the recipes out on anabel karmel and stuff but they are bit too 'out there' like rice with apple and stuff like that, I think it's a bit ridiculous to be honest. Just need some normal ideas!! Please help!

I like AK but I also tend to avoid the fruit and veg mix. My 10 month also likes

Salmon, mash & green veg (usually Peas, broccoli, spinach)

Jacket potatoes with cheese

Pitta with hummus /tzatziki

Scrambled eggs

Omelette

Savoury muffins

Lentils with pasta (I use an AK lentils recipe but puree it and add pasta so it becomes a lentil sauce)

Today my dd is having lentils and pasta for lunch and a ham & cheese omelette, toast with hummus, a couple of slices of Avocado and some strawberries for dinner. I tend to give her quite a lot of variety of I give her finger food as a meal as most of it will go on the floor.

My little one (7mths) just has whatever we're having for tea and usually for lunch too, although I do also give her homemade sausage rolls or pinwheels for lunch occasionally (have a stock of them in the freezer).

Sounds really nice OP. What about a mini 'pizza': make some tomato sauce from AK spread on a whole meal pitta then add a bit of tuna and cheese. Bake for about 5 mins, cut and serve. My LO (nearly 9 months) loved it. Also the salmon and broccoli pasta from AK is good too. Smile

Thanks all some good suggestions that I will definitely be trying.

Are ham and sausage ok to give due to salt? They are allowed up to 1g of salt a day under 12 months aren't they.

I put a small amount of ham in an omelette. I've never given my dd sausages as the guy running the first aid course I did said it was the most common item children choke on so now I'm too scared!!

you could also try giving more fish like cod or salmon. very easy to cook and you can mix with lots of veg (potatoes, spinach, broccoli etc.) or with pasta. my little one loves it.

She also likes omelettes with veg for example spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes... I often sprinkle a bit of cheese on top too.

I don't give ham yet I also thought it was too salty.

Scrambled egg /omelette with cheese ham beans spinach basically anything fresh and not too hard you've got in the fridge. At 10m my ds was still having 3 bottles a day. He has/had milk when he wakes then weetabix with banana, yoghurt snack, jam or cheese sandwich cut into fingers or scrambled egg for lunch, milk, potatoes/rice/pasta with veg and cheese tuna etc for tea

Tip I got for cod was to buy 100% cod fish fingers then take off the coating when cooked saves using a cod fillet way to much for a baby to eat

That's way more than my ten month old will eat, he's basically wedded to toast, cheese and fruit! I wish he would eat more of what you have on your list.

You can also get small pieces of cod at the fish counter. They are usually happy to give me a small piece of the baby. I cook it, give her half or a third of it and she has the rest over the following days.

*I meant for the baby of course!
