I'm desperate for some advice! My 2 year old DS (3 next week) tantrums have left me at the end of my tether. He really is a ticking timebomb.
It's got a whole lot worse in the last few weeks (but it's been bad since he was 2). He screams loudly at everything and anything - for example earlier he screamed for 30 minutes because I touched the stool for the toilet in the bathroom before he did!
There seems to be nothing that will calm him down, I've tried time out, timers, holding tight, ignoring. I'll go to him (after leaving him to calm down for 5 minutes) and he'll shout 'I'm sorry' at me and I say 'it's ok, come here' holding my arms out for a cuddle then he backs up saying 'No, no, no' over and over again and then it builds again into a full blown tantrum. His voice is constantly hoarse due to the screaming - I'm really worried it will do some permanent damage.
It's so exhausting - he often wakes up cross and goes to bed the same, making everyday tasks like getting dressed/brushing teeth a full on battle.
He goes to bed at 7.30 but wakes early, anything from 5.45-6.45am. Tried putting to bed earlier but he lies awake for at least an hour before dropping off.
Sorry for the ramble, any advice massively welcomed!
