Expecting child 3 but live in a 2 bed flat

Hi, I'm expecting child 3 at the end of the year and currently have a 6 yr old with his own room and a 1 year old who's cot is still in my room. I want them to share a room in preporation for number 3 to sleep in my room. Is it possible to have a loft bed for my 6 year old and put a cot below? Is that safe? I think 1 is too young to have a normal bunk Bed, plus she is a climber and already can climb up a ladder to her brothers Bed, he currently sleeps in a midi height bed with toys below. I doubt there is space to have the cot anywhere else in the room as they both have sooo many toys. I don't plan to move for another couple years so want everyone to be as comfortable as possible as long as possible. Thanks 😄

I don't see why not. They make high sleepers with sofas or study areas underneath so must be made safe enough for 1 person to be under while the other is in bed. As long as the bed is sturdy and you check regularly for any cracks in the slats (and don't let him or DD jump on it!) then it should be ok.

I think you can get high sleepers that convert into bunks later - eg the Wizard set from B&Q - which would save buying something else when DD comes out of a cot.
