what do you love most about being a mother?

I love the way he is so facinating- doing something new or different every day. I know a million babies have done it before, but to me it's magic.

When he woke in the night, i went into his room and he bounded to the side of the cot, beaming and babbling to me. I almost didn't care about being woken up- i just held him and smelt his hair. Then he spent 20 mins blowing raspberries in my arms

And i love it when i see DP laughing with him, and giving him a longing look that he doesn't know i've clocked. I love being a family.

Feel free to vomit or add what you love about being a mother!

I love watching my 2 girls develop their own relationship which I'm not really part of. I love how DD1 makes DD2 laugh and does it over and over againa nd is delighted to get a reaction each and every time. I love the way that when DD1 cries when she is having her hair brushed in the morning DD2 toddles over and gives DD1 a big open-mouthed kiss. I love the way they hold hands when they are in their car seats and how DD1 just grabs DD2 sometimes and gives her the biggest cuddle and says 'ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh'.

I could go on but will stop there, for now anyway!

Stroking a little boy's back has to come high on the list!

I love the way she looks at me when we have our morning wake up cuddle in bed & says 'wakey wakey mummy...I love you...lets play'

Or after she has just gotten out the bath & smells so fresh & sweet

& just the little incorrect sentances she comes out with 'I want to be my have (behave) today' that just make me smile

Or the way she will say 'it's not the end of the world' when she spills her drink, because it's not, is it!

I love the way that DD1 takes my face in her hands and pulls my head towards her and gives me a right smoocher.

I love the way she does her 'happy hands' when she is excited, slightly pleased etc about anything.

I love the way when I kiss DD1 she then makes me kiss DD2 and Daddy ans as I kiss everyone else she does 'happy hands'

I love the way that when I'm tired in the morning sometimes and put my head in my hands she says 'Don't cry mummy don't cry, all better'

I love the way she comes to find me and say 'oh no' so I know she has made a mess somewhere or thown something into the toilet!

I love kissing the tops of their heads. Nothing like that lovely smell.

I love DD1's voice - DD2 has a couple of words, but you can't really make out her true voice yet.

I love how she cries, 'Mummy!' when I go into her room at weekends and holidays.

I love everything about my girls, today especially at the moment dd2 is in her highchair she keeps pointing and saying look (ook) and with her other hand is pulling her hair to the side so its sticking out, she looks so cute.....

my dd's do the open mouthed kiss, hug thing as well, which dd1 is so chuffed about because she has been smothering dd2 since she was born and we're always saying let her play, put her down, let her go and now she is finally listening and dd2 is going to her for cuddles and kisses........dd2 is the type of child that comes for a kiss and cuddle and then wants to get back down and play again.

My ds is 12 now and I have loved everything tbh .Even now I try and make the most of his grumpiness as I know he won't be my baby forever! In all motherhood is highly under rated although I am biased as my ds is perfect!

Those oh so delicious cuddles. The hilarious questions. The crazy dances, singing in rounds (optimistically), snap very slowly, the smell of their heads, the morning cuddles, the bedtime cuddles, reading stories I had as a child, seeing them experience things for the first time with shock, wonder, delight etc, cooking with small helpers, smiles, chuckles, early first milestones, tricycles and a zillion excuses not to do housework. But the best is checking in on them on our way to bed. Perfect peace and boy what an achievement!

everything there's nothing I dislike - well maybe the poos up his back which need a bath but apart from that every single minute the cute cuddles he gives when he's trying to be shy, the kisses, the eating new things playing nicely, the look of concentration when he's doing something, playing with the other children at tots, saying mummummum all the time.

I love being surprised by ds - when he will suddenly express a thought or do something that I wasn't aware he could think or do. We had a facts of life conversation the other day - he's only turned 3 today and I think he's amazing.

Admittedly he thinks that 'men have seeds inside, women have eggs inside, so boys have toast inside' but hey, that's true isn't it!

I love the careless way ds1 slings his arm around ds2's shoulders when they are sat on the floor together.

Cuddles here too...when DS1 (2yrs 9mths)and DS2 (10mths)cuddle each other and the look of total love and glee on DS2's face when he watches his big brother.
When DS1 says something funny (He said he wanted to marry a sheep last week, no we're not welsh!), when he shouts out he loves me. HIs face when I pick him up from Preschool.
When DS2 is cruising round the furniture and hears music he wiggles his bum.
When they play together, when they are in the bath.

Everything but the poo and early morning starts then really!

Cuddles

Kissing the back of his neck.

When he runs and jumps up on my lap and snuggles in tight.

When his face lights up when he sees me at school.

And more cuddles.
