Present for DS1 from DC2?

I'm not sure if this is better placed somewhere else but thought I'd try here first!
I am due in a few weeks and a friend suggested a good idea of buying a present from new baby to DS1 as a way of warming Ds1 to his new sibling.
My Ds is obsessed with our camera but obviously isn't allowed to use it unoccupied so I was thinking of getting him his own.

Can anyone recommend a good drop proof camera he can use?
I am not keen on the kiddi zoom ones as I think he would still want to use ours and tbh at £50 I think I'd rather buy a 'proper' one.

Also if anyone has done this or bought other gifts that have worked well, please feel free to post about them. I am always open to new ideas! Thanks

We bought our 4 year old the kiddi zoom camera as a present from his new baby sister. Totally passed him by. Played with for about 10 minutes and then that was it.
I would recommend secret stashes of chocolate or something small for when friends visit and don't bring him anything and he gets upset, but ours did 't need a big present at all.

A million miles away from a camera but we bought DS1 a soft toy cat from DS2, because although he isn't into cuddly toys, he does really like cats and he is never getting a real one

It was a surprising hit.

How old will DS1 be? You don't want something that need supervision or help to use really. A new DVD would be very useful!

We bought DS the kiddizoom when DD was born and he still loves it a year later. It does annoy him that it's not a touch screen.

We did think about getting this one instead but it wasn't on offer at the time and £100 seemed like a lot for a camera that may not have ended up being used at all. DS was 3.

DS will be 3 and half when dc2 arrives. He can use our touch screen camera really well which is why I thought he may think of the kiddi zoom as more of a toy.
It was my friend that suggested the camera as she said it would be nice that he could take pictures of baby and visitors or just his toys etc.

Moonduke he has a special soft toy but I'm glad that worked well for you!

We bought dd1 (2) a baby doll when dd2 was born. She totally ignored it, wasn't interested at all!

However she was besotted with her little sister. And dd2 now has the baby doll!

Thanks for the link Harry, funnily enough I was looking at the Nikon Coolpix cameras originally but it was the slight cheaper model. Will research that one as it looks pretty indestructible to a certain point!
