First birthday - as little as possible as they don't know and get so much from other family. beyond that, about £50-100, but I can imagine that being much more as they get older and want more technology. I buy toys throughout the year as they pass through interests too, so am considering cutting down on birthday spending, at least while they're little.

I am so glad I kept it really small when they were little. Up to £20 often. Now they are teenagers there have been some eye watering stonkers- bikes/ laptops/ posh coats.

We spent £10 for DS 1st birthday in January. This was after he was given an excessive amount of presents for Xmas from relatives. When he's old enough to care I might have to figure out a way to make his birthday less anticlimactic

£60, I have an 15 yr old and 12 yr old. We aren't flush. Next month one will receive a skateboard and the other doesn't yet know what he wants but it will probably be a superdry hoodie

25 but then lots of other relatives also spend 25 on each child and we can pool the cash for bigger gifts

A small present around £30 max and a big birthday party with approximately 30 kids.

Around £50 - usually on just one big thing rather than lots of little bits. Last birthday DD1 got a lego set, and DD2 got a micro scooter.

Plus up to £20 (but usually more like 10) on something chosen by their sibling to be from them, but paid for by us.
