crying after tongue tie procedure

hello! my dd is 3 and a half weeks old and this morning she had her tongue snipped for a slight tongue tie, she was relatively calm and only cried a little bit after having it done but this afternoon she has been really upset and crying a lot .We've fed her ( bottle of ebm as she's too upset to try breastfeeding and she much prefers the bottle) and winded her, changed her but she is crying more than usual (with tiny sleeps in between). Maybe the experience was a bit stressful? we haven't been out much with her yet (gentle strolls and a couple of trips to the gp) so maybe she's a bit sensitive to all the new experiences at the hospital coupled with having a stranger poke her fingers in her mouth?!she seems really tired but wont sleep for long (she slept after being danced to disco which is her favourite)has anyone had a similar experience after a tongue tie procedure?

My 3rd had tongue tie snipped on post natal ward - it traumatised me more than her!!

Anyway, I expect it'll be feeling sore for the first 24 hours, hence her slight grumpiness. But just keep an eye to make sure not getting any sort of infection. I'm sure fine, but if not back to usual within48 hours then i'd head back down to dr;s

Coincidentally, it could just be a growth spurt ..... I was always told 3 weeks is classic growth spurt time (3 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months). She might just be really hungry?? Feed, feed and feed again Smile

My DD was grumpy for about 24 hours afterwards, then just wanted tonfeed constantly - making up for lost time! Hopefully she will feel better tomorrow when it's less sore Smile

My dd kept crying out and doing this heartbreaking little whine, it will be sore imagine how your tongue would feel after having it cut. The next day she was fine, just give her plenty of cuddles, hope she settles soon.
