yup! They could do with some time out.

When the weather's good I throw them in the garden or not.

I put tv on but they generally run about fighting, throwing things, playing (occasionaly) and chasing pup.

Wish they would watch the bloody tv

If they want to.After a day at school,I don't think it does any harm to have a slack-jawed half hour.I do it when they've gone to bed after all.

As much or as little as they like.

Yes, definitely at this time if year, they always complete any homework or reading before they are allowed to switch it on. But once we've done that then they watch children's TV for a couple of hours. While I make the dinner etc.

Yes they watch tv sometimes if they want to. I let them choose. It's their chill out time and it's my chance to get tea on the go. They don't always choose tv though, sometimes they go on PC, they love drawing and colouring. When they are getting on they play in their rooms dressing up. DDs are 7 and 4.

oh yes. we've recently "graduated" from cbeebies to cbbc, so lots of cheesy jokes, newsround newsreaders with half a (small) buttock on a desk and new-fangled basil brush. but no tv after tea...

The blonde newsround newsreader who wears her underwear bugs me.
