Anyone got any tips on looking after a (nearly) 2 year old 1 handed?

following my fall on monday and a 2nd visit to a and e it turns out i do actually have a broken hand. i now have an elbow to fingertip plaster cast on. i have thought maybe buying ready meals and paper plates to ease the pressure off dp a bit, and maybe putting ds to bed fully clothed . atm it looks like i'll have this on for 6 weeks (nasty fracture) so i could really use some clever tips to try and ease the pressure a bit. Am still pmsl about it all though!

Oh, no, Flossam! Poor you! Glad you can see the funny side - hope it heals in record speed.

As for one-handed looking after...er...make sure you have the tv remote in your good hand

I have every sympathy for you as I had my arm in a sling for a few days when DS was about 20m. I found it really difficult though so still used that hand as much as I could.

Is DS at the stage where he wants to help Mummy? If not, you could be stuffed!

Take every labour saving, shortcut there is.

thank hunker and bs! ds isn't really that helpful it has to be said, although with a sore (but useable) hand over the past coupleof days i have discovered the joy of nappy changes in front of c beebies...

thankfully mas it is my left hand, know what you mean about the posts, please excuse typos and lack of capitals!

ds is bathed, dressed and with nappie on appropriately! now sitting down to dinner (all be it a hipp growing up meal not his usual type of food). perhaps this won't be quite as bad as i feared.
