DD is three just before christmas and she is getting a wooden dolls house (which I am slowly painting in advance) and stack of Playmobil people and furniture to fill it (thanl god for ebay).

Ive also got her a few little games - a memory card matching game, a dominos set, and a selection of art supplies to top up her crafts box.

She will get a new outfit and a new pair of pjs, and also some new story books.

All of dds arty stuff just comes from.Wilkos - dead cheap and washable and can get loads of little bits to make and do.

Also, what about a wooden railway? The click together types? all shops that sell it seem to be able to mix and match so you could look around fof bargains - again Wilkos sell it, IKEA etc.

3 was the playdoh phase in our house. We've a couple of the sets, ice cream factory and cake factory I think. If you can stand the mess and the colours getting mixed together, yes I know 'issues' then these do provide hours of entertainment.

We added a second hand massive job lot of wooden railway stuff to his existing set for third birthday recently.

Outdoor things? Mostly in sales now :) or a season ticket for local attractions? If you buy before she turns three they're usually valid the whole year, as lots of places start charging exorbitant prices from three years.

A bike or scooter, both very much used by my 3 year old.

Mini micro scooter is a big hit here, also an aquaplay set (like a canal set with boats and locks and cranes) and dressing up stuff, especially a doctor's set.
