19 month old dd has been an angel at bedtime for the last five months. Thesweek however she has decided that she will not go to sleep in her cot.
She has been demanding mummy bed since Monday and it has taken two hours to cuddle her to sleep and get her into her cot. Last night by 11 I caved, brought her into our bed and she gave a big grin and fell asleep. Dh slept on the sofa. She wouldn't settle with him in the bed too just me.
The problem is I didn't sleep! Dd throws herself around in sleep and I got to doze half an hour at a time before grabbing her before she fell off the bed. Banking up pillows doesn't help.
Even if i did get a rail that would fit our bed (we have a ver awkward bed) I still wouldn't sleep as she's such an acrobatic sleeper.
Controlled crying hasn't worked, cuddling hasn't worked, rapid return hasn't worked, sitting by her cot hasn't worked.
Has anyone had joy with an air mattress next to the cot?
Tell me this is a phase!!!!!
