No BF for 10 hours - how to help baby cope?

Hello,
I BF my 11 month old daughter and she shows no signs of being ready to wean (as I had planed at 12 months). She still feeds all the time and is only marginally interested in food, though we always give it to her. She likes drinking water from a cup though and also sometimes a bit of cows milk.
I have to go away for work for one long day 8am-6pm when she'll be left with her dad. I'm not going to express- previously when I have she's never drunk it from a bottle, and so we're hoping she'll cope with water, some cows milk/yoghurt (which she loves) and some food like bananas.
Does anyone have experience of this and do you think she'll be ok? I won't be able to get back during that day so really looking for tips/reassurance.
Thanks.

Just an idea but could you try expressing and cup feeding it to her?

i would try it in a cup.

if she won't drink it from a bottle, no probs, but if she would normally drink water from a cup then i can't see why she would refuse milk from a cup.

maybe you could get her a special coloured cup just for milk and start giving it to her randomly in the day to see how she takes to it (much in the same way you would give her a snack or a cup of water)

I had a day out without DS at a similar age. He rarely would eat solids, and it wasn't something I was looking forward to. DH stuffed him with fromage frais at every opportunity. He was fine, if a bit clingy and sulky for a couple of days afterwards.

You might need to take a couple of breaks during the day to hand express a little , and wear some bast pads in case of any leaking!

Ok yes thank you. I don't think I'll have much opportunity to express for this as we will be abroad/in transit and I'll be using all my milk to give bebe! Good idea about the fromage frais. This is actually 2 days on the trot the same, but 1st day I can come back at lunch time.
