Ie, start the bedtime routine, bed, teeth, story etc then lights out?

Try to start at 7, lights out by 7.30.

ds (6) has lights off at 8pm

Lights off at 8pm here too

around 7.30ish depending on levels of tiredness!

Bath time is usually about 6ish, then DS is allowed half an hour of TV. Bed is at 7pm, DH or I read a couple of small stories then DS is allowed to read until 7.30pm then lights out.

Saturdays he's allowed up bit later if there's a film on that finishes late or, like this weekend, there was a thing about dinosaurs on at 8pm.

Ds's both are in bed by 7pm. They both sleep for 12 hours !

They're in years 1 and 3.

Start bedtime around 6:30.

DS is usually asleep by 7:30. Although it can go wrong if his little sister is running riot and keeping him awake.

Starts 7.15ish if she wants a bath, 7.30ish if she is happy with a quick shower.

Usually finished a bit before 8. I do let her then read to herself in bed as she is pretty good at just reading for a bit, will stop when she is tired and go to sleep, and she is still ready to get up in the morning. If she was keeping herself awake for hours reading and then tired in the morning I wouldn't let her do this.

All I can say is, you lucky people.
My dd3 six years old has SN and does not require much sleep.
Normally asleep by 9:30 - 10pm and awake by 5:30 - 6am.
I keep on smiling! grin

DS is 3 and DD just gone in to year 1. Both have lights out at around 8 and are usually out for 830. Up at around 730 ish. If I put them to bed at 7 they wld be up way too early and we tend toward the night owl in our family smile

8 pm usually. Start getting ready half an hour or so before.

I aim for in bed by 8pm with some time after that for stories etc.

sittinginthesun Thu 05-Sep-13 21:46:33

In bed by 7pm, reads to himself for a while, light off no later than 8pm. I'm trying to pull it back earlier.

Thank you! Right new (again) bedtime routine with sticker chart happening again from tonight. Last night was just bloody awful, with us both ending up in tears from exhaustion!

7.30 in their rooms here, lights off 8 or so, depending on whether they're disturbing killing each other. Their behaviour's been up and down like a yo yo since they've been back, but they do seem to be sleeping better between school tiredness and the darker evenings. Both Yr 2.

youbethemummylion Fri 06-Sep-13 06:14:38

Lights out at 7:15ish and sleeps until about 6:30 later bed times have resulted in earlier waking up time so we are back to 7:15ish
