Mini Micro Scooter or Dupe??

I was wondering if there was something out there as good as a Mini micro scooter? or if not, what makes it so much better than say the one for £15.00 that is on offer in asda at the moment. I would like one for my LO for her 2nd birhtday, but the price here even for second hand is silly and just wondered why?

Haven't tried the others but buying dd hers for her 2nd birthday was probably the best £50 we've spent in ages. She's 6 soon and still uses it all of the time. Disclaimer: my dd is tiny so yours might outgrow it sooner Smile

Thats good, I might have to bite the bullet then as she is little too. I didn't think they would use it for that long so it dosent seem such a bad deal! Thank you.

The only thing that's stopped her from using every day is that she's just learnt how to ride a bike and now thinks she's Victoria fucking Pendleton. Grin

I think Micro scooters are made in Germany. There are spare parts available if something goes wrong, there customer service is fab as far as I can tell. My DD LOVES hers, best pressie we have ever bought her! Grin

You know Jilted, that's exactly what I thought. They were all blue or pink and I did fancy the pink!

Best money we ever spent was on dd1's micro mini scooter for her 2nd birthday. She got a micro maxi for christams last year, 3 weeks before she was 6. Dd2 has inherited the mini and as was only 16 months when she got it we bought one of the little seats for it, so cute! So to sum up....4 years of heavy use from dd1 and still going strong!

We have two of the big maxi micro scooters and two of the mini micro scooters, they are fab and totally worth the money. I got my dd a yellow one and one of the little bags they do that attach on the front, my ds4 has a horn on his, accessories can help tell them apart from others at school/park etc.

Also we got dd some of these to distinguish her scooter from all the others in the park/at school.

We've just bought 2.5 year old dd a lilac mini micro, and she loves it so much she takes it everywhere with her!
It's actually more purple (her favourite colour), and I've yet to see another round here.

It's really well made too.

I bought DD, then 2, a cheaper version scooter from Tesco, the same 3 wheel, lean to steer type! She got on so well with it that I wanted to buy the mini micro, with matching bag for her 3rd birthday. It took a few weeks to persuade her that the mini micro was better but now she loves it. It's smaller than her previous one, so more suited to her age, lighter and a much smoother ride which means she can go very fast. I also bought the handle which is a godsend on the school run as she takes ages to walk. As its DD3 I wish I discovered them with DD1.

Dd has this bag m.micro-scooters.co.uk/product/mini-micro-bag--neon-handbag/

And we got her the neon yellow but looking at the site they have changed it, her handles are a diff colour sand her wheels are clear rather than black. They seem to change the 'limited edition' range quite often.

I love the look if the 'candy' ones and haven't seen any of those about yet, but you do pay more food the limited edition range ones. They are good tho, mine love them, dd got hers for her second bday and is a pro now, we have the little seat as well but tbh she never really used that.

I've never used any of the copies, but the mini micro is fab. We got ours second hand and it's been used heavily (about 4 miles a day at least) for 2 years and although it's a bit cracked at the front and the brake fell off(!) it's still working absolutely fine. We also have two of the big ones and they're also great.

outraged if you contact Minimicro they will send you a new brake!

That's the other good thing about mini micro, if anything breaks/needs replacing they do spare parts ,generally they send them for free!

ok........ I went to buy the Lilac one, but fell in love with the candy pink one! So we are now the owner of a gorgeous and damn expensive scooter! She's going to love it. Thanks for all your help.

I pimped my DDs mini micro out for her 3rd birthday, we got streamers for the handle bars/ bell (which she loves) a little badge for the front and whizzy plastic things for the sides of the wheeled! Mini micro saw me coming!!! Wink

I think these are hugely over-rated. Very expensive for what they are. Also very small so no use if your child is tall for their age. Maybe because DS had already learned to ride a balance bike, he was actually happier with a bigger scooter with only 2 wheels.
